Meteorology in Capitol City (And why it makes no sense whatsoever)

Lately I've been feeling bad for that weatherman on Channel 4. The poor guy is doing his best, but sometimes the weather in this city changes out of nowhere. Let's take a quick look at some of the highlights from the past few weeks.

There was  sudden lightning storm in the suburbs, despite no clouds on the radar and a sunny day until that point. The storm only lasted a few minutes before dissipating into clear skies once more.

Similarly sudden, there was a downpour of freezing rain three days later on the South Star Bridge leading out of the city, causing slippery conditions and leading to several minor accidents. Luckily, no one was seriously injured, though the ice also downed some power lines and led to minor outages.

And then a supercell rolled in a week later, dropping massive hailstones, torrential downpours, and several lightning strikes.

And these are only a few examples of strange weather. For the past several months, unexpected weather patterns have become a part of life in Capitol City and no one I've been able to contact has any scientific explanation for these shifts.

However, it might be fair to state that these weather patterns are man-made, either due to some government testing at military bases outside the city or caused by a yet unknown metahuman.

Either way, make sure to pack your jacket and an umbrella because you never know what weather you're going to run into.

  1. I left my shoes out and everything froze over last night :( now I have frosty toes. Why is Capitol City like this?? I hope it's not the government doing experiments that could melt our flesh or something...
